What people are saying about the workshop:

“Part of my reason for such a high rating on things is because of my personal situation. It has been quite timely. I feel I have a tool box with tools to solve situations and problems. Innovation suddenly became realistic & obtainable instead of something only reserved for geniuses.”

“ I found this course engaging, and relevant not only to my farming operation, but to other aspects of my life as well.”

“I think that what you are doing is fabulous and I encourage you to continue to develop your program for farmers, I really believe you have the capacity to help them make a profound change..”

“Problems just don’t seem to be overwhelming after taking this course. Our family left with tools to help us keep unstuck and moving ahead more smoothly.”

“Seeing the real life examples helped me to see how understanding the other person’s point of view can solve problems that otherwise seemed impossible to solve.”

Program Design

To develop Traction, we went to farmers and their spouses and asked,

 "What do you need
          to be more  succesful in
                your farming operation?"

New ideas, fresh perspectives, the opportunity to connect with other farming families and a way to navigate through some of the family issues that come with farming  - were the answers we heard most. Two of the primary developers of this program bring personal farming experience: one is a cattle producer and the other was raised in a small, rural community where he worked on different farmers.
